The Drilling And Bolting Machine now consisted of two electric motors used on the four-head design and an additional electric motor to power the two new rib drills attached to the machine. In addition to the motor and pump, other necessary elements that accompany two more drilling devices, such as filters, control valves, and dust systems, were added. Due to the magnitude, and quick turnover in supplies of the bolter, it was essential to have the ability to stock various bolting supplies on the machine.
The rig adopts a hydraulic direct control system, which is extremely easy to operate and maintain. The number of components is effectively controlled, thereby greatly reducing the failure rate of the equipment and effectively improving the high reliability and maintenance convenience . In addition to intuitive hydraulic control, the rig's cab, automatic shifting system and dust collection system provide operators with a safe and comfortable operating environment that increases overall efficiency.
